Every Child, Every Opportunity

Is my child too ill for school?

Important Measles/MMR Update from Birmingham Public Health

January 11th - Letter regarding Measles

At Arden we accept that children get ill from time to time, but we also know that parents sometimes need advice.

Often parents tell us that their child has an illness, and ask us how long their child should remain off school.

This link is the latest advice from the NHS

We are also aware that a number of children are suffering with mental health issues.  If you are concerned that your child has issues, please phone Mrs Butt our Parent Link Worker on 675 7702 and arrange a meeting.  We are only too happy to help in a confidential manner.

Sometimes, we are aware that children become anxious from time to time.  They might be undertaking tests, they might have transitioned from one class or group to another.  Often a little reassurance is all that is needed and once the child is in school they relax and enjoy the school day.

However, if you feel that your child is suffering with anxiety, please speak to us as soon as possible.  Remember, we are here to help whatever the issue.
