Every Child, Every Opportunity
The Friends of Arden are a group of parents and carers who volunteer our time to raise money for school and for worthy charities, and who support the learning of children at Arden Primary School by helping out in some lessons.
We organise a wide range of fund-raising events - fayres, Christmas Grottoes, cake sales, raffles, coffee mornings and non-uniform days to mention but a few.
The money raised has enabled the Friends of Arden to buy books and other equipment for school and to donate prizes for pupils, to reward and encourage hard work and good attendance.
In recent years, the charitable work of the Friends of Arden has raised over £5,000 for two good causes, the Rohingya of Myanmar and Breast Cancer. Some of us help out with reading, support Creative Projects or accompany children on educational visit days. There are so many ways of becoming involved!
All parents and carers are welcome to be part of the Friends of Arden group. It is an opportunity to make new friends, share ideas, use existing skills as well as learn new ones, and get to know the school whilst having lots of fun at the same time!
We are always looking for extra pairs of hands for our on-going projects so, if you have a specialist skill or are available a few hours a term to get involved with the Friends of Arden, please contact us through through the school office and ask for Mrs S Butt.
Many thanks in advance! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents for their on-going support.
