Welcome to Arden Nursery - our first little steps into the big wide world!

A stimulating, fun-filled, safe environment where children learn through play, investigation and exploration of the world around them. Our little learners become independent, better communicators and learn to make friends!

At Nursery, we have a wide range of activities which promote physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills through an exciting and stimulating curriculum. We plan our activities around our children’s favourite stories and interests. Children can look forward to fun trips throughout the year, creating extensive opportunities for learning through new experiences.

For Phonics, we follow Letters and Sound Phase 1 and 2 alongside Jolly Phonics. We enjoy phonics in our family groups with our teacher Mrs Couldrey and Mrs Hamid, Mrs Akhtar and Miss Kauser.

Coming up in Nursery...

Why do you love me so much? - Our first topic will be based upon ourselves and our families. We will discuss our likes and dislikes and identify how we are all special. We will do a range of activities based around the theme such as paintings, model making and writing.

Our Trip to Birmingham Town Hall - We will be taking our first school trip to the Town Hall in December. We will be watching ‘Dear Santa’, a production that will engage the children and provide a new experience. More information will be sent out in due course.
